Literary/Publishing Grant ($15000 value)

During early 2010, Supporting Young Talent will award its first literary grant, to publish and promote a young short story writer. The first phase of the grant will provide a $5000 unconditional cash reward to a young writer who exhibits the unique talent of captivating a reader's attention and imagination. The second phase of the grant will provide for the publication and distribution of 1000 hard bound copies of a compilation of short stories. The grant recipient will need to produce five to seven short stories, each containing 2500 to 3500 words. The anthology will be theme based. Extensive regional promotion and the setup of a website, with digital download capability, will also be included. Finally, there will be an additional $10,000 cash reward, disbursed over an eight month period subsequent to the book launch.

Additional grants are possible.

Grant candidacy is invitational, based on previously posted blog works, reviewed by a panel of judges.

The author will retain copyright and all republication rights.

This grant is available worldwide, and is aimed at developing talented teen aged/young adult writers.
